Who we are
Roof Intelligence is a product of OMEGABYTE TECHNOLOGIES, INC (“OMEGABYTE,” “we,” “us”), a Texas corporation based in Austin, Texas. This policy covers roofintelligence.app, the Roof Intelligence application, the report pages we host, and the messages we send.
Two different relationships are described here. When you visit this website or ask us to run a demo report, we are the controller of your information. When a roofing contractor uses Roof Intelligence to serve their own customers, that contractor is the controller of their leads' information and we process it on their behalf under our agreement with them. If you are a homeowner who received a report from a contractor, that contractor's privacy policy governs their use of your information; this one governs ours.
What we collect
- What you type into a form. Property address, mobile number, name, company, and whether you checked the consent box — along with the exact consent wording shown to you and the date and time you checked it.
- Property information. The geocoded location of the address, building footprint and roof geometry derived from aerial and satellite imagery, and the imagery tiles used to build the report.
- Report and lead records. Measurements, estimate ranges, imagery quality, confidence, report links, lead score, and the events attached to the lead — created, delivered, message sent, video started, inspection booked.
- Account information for contractors: name, business name, email, phone, billing contact, and payment records held by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
- Technical information. IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and timestamps, recorded in server logs. This site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics or advertising scripts.
Why we use it
- To produce the roof report you or a contractor asked for.
- To deliver that report by text and email, and to follow up about it — only where consent is on file.
- To write the lead into the contractor's CRM and notify their sales team.
- To operate, secure, debug and meter the service, and to bill for it.
- To meet our legal obligations, including keeping consent and opt-out records.
We do not use your information to train general-purpose machine-learning models, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Text messages and consent
We send text messages only to a number whose owner submitted it and affirmatively agreed to receive messages at it. Consent is never a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help, and opt-outs are applied across our platform, not just to one campaign. We keep a record of consent and opt-out events for as long as required to demonstrate compliance.
Mobile numbers and consent status collected for messaging are never sold, rented or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes, and are not shared with any party other than the subprocessors listed below that are required to deliver the messages.
Who we share it with
We sell nothing. We do not share leads between contractors. We do share information with the service providers we need to run the product:
- Mapping, imagery and building-data providers, to resolve the address and derive roof geometry. Imagery and derived building data are provided by Google and its licensors and remain subject to their terms; imagery in a report may carry the provider's attribution.
- Our CRM, messaging and telephony platform, to deliver texts, emails and calls and to hold the contractor's pipeline.
- Our video-agent provider, when a homeowner starts a video session.
- Our email delivery provider, payment processor, and hosting and infrastructure providers.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of people or property. If OMEGABYTE is ever involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction and we will say so before it becomes subject to a different policy.
How long we keep it
- Reports and lead records: 24 months from creation, unless the controlling contractor sets a shorter period or asks us to delete sooner.
- Imagery rasters and intermediate map tiles: 90 days. After that the underlying raster files are purged and only the derived measurements, the rendered report and its PDF remain.
- Consent and opt-out records: kept for as long as we need them to prove compliance, which may outlast the lead record itself.
- Billing and tax records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Server logs: 90 days.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for messaging. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 45 days. If your information sits inside a contractor's account, we will route your request to that contractor and help them action it. Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and residents of other states may have similar rights; we apply the same process to everyone rather than making you prove where you live. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right.
Security
Data is held on infrastructure we operate, with access limited to the people who need it, keyed authentication for administrative access, encryption in transit, tenant-scoped isolation between contractor accounts, and an append-only audit log of report and lead events. No system is perfect; if we ever have a breach affecting your information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Children
Roof Intelligence is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top and, for material changes, notify account holders by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated policy.
